Project 2: Green Gifting

  1. The word that almost everyone used to describe this product was 'cute', in which it certainly was. I liked your take on the everyday salt and pepper shaker which was similar to previous products but with subtle differences, key being the ability to stack them together neatly for storage and/or distribution. This is completely personal, but I would have preferred them to be a little bigger and I think the chose of colours was a little stark, especially because it's what we all expect in a salt and pepper shaker. It could have been due to do with your chose of material, maybe a metal or timber would have been better having a nicer look and feel then plastics. All in all I'm glad to see it came out nicely, well done.

  2. Like everyone said this product is definitely very cute, I personally found this to be a strong aspect of the product overall as it created that connection with the user of actually wanting to hold onto it and use it! I love the aspect of how they stack although I question whether there would be some spillage when stacking the top shaker? Although the colour choices were simple I preferred this as it allows them to be easy to read instead of looking for the letters on each. Overall, great design idea and a very well made model!
